Gastric Band London
1. You should have a minimum of three meals a day. This will allow the pouch in your stomach enough time to empty before every meal. You can rest assured that you will easily be satisfied with 3 meals after gastric band surgery.
2. You should include as much soft food as you can in your diet. This is because this food won't block your stomach and will allow you to eat more every day. You can consider having solid foods mixed with a load of sauce to ensure that you eat less than before and still manage to remain full.
3. Most overweight are used to eating very fast. You will need to slow down the way you eat which will allow your stomach enough time to let your brain know when it’s full. If you aren't careful about the amount of food you eat you will be at risk of vomiting, stomach pain or may even block your stomach. You should chew each mouthful at least 20 times.
4. It is very important for you to remember not to drink anything when eating. If you do, you will only slow down the emptying of food from your stomach pouch. Even if you drink before a meal, you may suddenly find your stomach to be full and not feel the need to eat anything.
5. Lastly, anything that you drink needs to be calorie free. Drinking heavy, calorie laden drinks like alcohol will unnecessarily increase your daily calorie consumption. Don't do this to yourself unless you want to face problems with your gastric band in the future.
